Rwanda Rural Rehabilitation Initiative (RWARRI) has been a critical partner of World Vision Rwanda since June 2024. This partnership agreement was built on a joint initiative to promote household income through the development of a poultry value chain in the World Vision Rwanda Intervention area of Huye, Gisagara districts (Ishema cluster), Rusizi, Nyamasheke districts (Nyungwe cluster), Karongi district (Kivu cluster), Rutsiro, Ngororero districts (Tunga Cluster), Kayonza, Gatsibo and Nyagatare districts (Akagera cluster).
Background
RWARRI's partnership with World Vision Rwanda is part of the THRIVE 2030 PROJECT that aims to graduate households from poverty up to an income of at least 5 USD per day. Through THRIVE 2030, RWARRI targets to assist 6420 households grouped into 214 commercial producer groups (CPGs) in the development of the poultry value chain through inclusive market systems development that increase farmers' skills on entrepreneurship in the poultry value chain, make all value chain actors work in response to the markets, and strengthen the connection between poultry value chain actors and the market.
